After lots of work on measuring in Maths I am pleased to say that Rowling won the ‘guess the weight of the pumpkin with 15 Kg. They had great fun deciding on an idea to carve. Lots of thanks to Mrs Hunt and Mrs Patel for the carving and thank you to everyone who helped grow the pumpkin. One lucky member of Rowling got to take it home.
After a fantastic disco with lots of great costumes our class teddy is fast asleep after all his dancing.
Today we did some great sorting of shapes into Venn diagrams. The children looked at number of sides, right angles, parallel sides and other properties of shape.
Today lots of Year 4 children performed in assembly. We have lots of very talented musicians and very proud teachers. Well done to all of them.
Collecting ideas in the garden before story writing. Great ways of writing with no tables.
Today we looked at some things which the soldiers would have had in the trenches such as binoculars. Then we wrote letters home as though we were writing from the trenches before making our letters look authentic. The children did very well describing their feelings and describing how terrifying life would have been.
Today in Maths we visited Year 3 to find out their favourite types of crisps. We collected the data using tally charts and will plot it tomorrow. Thank you for having us Year 3.
