The children have done so well this term learning about digestion. Today we made our own digestive system and tried to include ribs also.
We had a go with lots of different skills today in our circuit session. Brilliant work from everyone.
This afternoon we thought about all the things we had learnt so far this year in Maths.
It was great to have Mrs Godfrey visit us today in French. We recapped on the months of the year and then learnt about the weather before creating weather wheels.
In maths we have been looking at measures.
We then had a go estimating the height of Mrs Wolfisz. Well done to the
one that guessed 150cm. I am in fact 151cm.
On Friday in PE we took advantage of the nice weather and went out for a session of circuits. The children really enjoyed it and worked brilliantly.
For homework the children created their own Wikipedia pages in preparation for our new topic in ICT. I found out lots of interesting facts.
Today in Literacy we looked at how important it was to include description in our writing.
First we were told to draw a castle.
They were both very different.
We were then given more description and even though we didn’t talk we came up with very similar drawings.
Today in forest school we had fun finding shapes all around us.
We started on the bus where we found a hexagon on the wheel nut.
We then found circular wheels and an octagonal flower pot.
In the forest we also created lots of shapes of our own.
We carefully drew some of the shapes using each other for support.
Lots of great work.
In Science we looked at different animals skeletons and the similarities and differences.
Lots of the children also explained all about the digestive system using the following scientific words- oesophagus, salivary glands, canine, molars, ileum, duodenum, large intestine, enzymes, gall bladder, bile , stomach acid. Proud teacher!
