Find out Friday.

Today we used our skills from the week to solve various problems. I was so impressed to see the children continue to work through them even though they were tricky. They learnt lots about ‘never giving up’ from our week of Inspirational Maths.

A busy week.

The children have worked very hard this week.

In Maths we took part in Jo Boaler’s Week of Inspirational Maths. We worked carefully to identify patterns, work with number and use our reasoning. We learnt that we can all do Maths!

We also began learning about WW1 and the countries involved. We used an atlas to locate the countries and their capitals.

We also learnt a bit about the skeleton before starting to learn about digestion.

At the end of the week we evaluated our learning and created some excellent journals.

Our time capsule.

Last week all the children made a great start to Year 4.

We all wrote down our goals for the year. Then we measured our height and used this length of string to tie up our goals. This week we are going to put them all in a time capsule and bury it until July next year. Will we all achieve our goals?  Exciting!
